Hello,

Here is a Rose Chafer in danger!


Can we identify who is attacking it? (family, genus, species)

Picture took at Sherbrooke, Quebec (near Vermont, USA).

The spider has the look of a theridiid, but that's as far as I will go!

Looks very like a Steatoda or what a relative exists in the new world.

Thank you very much for your help concerning this spider!

You are right! After consulting other forums, everyone agree for a Theridiidae, genus Steatoda.

For the species, it will remains Sp. :-)
