Hello,

I hope I'm right with the genus Chrysotoxum. But there are too similar species for me and I don't know what characteristics to look for. What is it?

I found it in august in the Eifel in western germany. Size was perhaps a good cm.

Thanks,
Michael

It's a female Chrysotoxum arcuatum, also called Chrysotoxum fasciatum! First name is used in the Dutch list, second name in Fauna europaea.
I'm using the first name, but I'm not completely sure it's the correct one....
Greetings
