Sassari, Sardinia 11/10/2008 dimensions: around 5 / 6 mm.
This fly persecuting a female of colletes.

I think it's
Miltogramma species, lokks like
M. punctata, but wait for experts.

I agree on Miltogramma. M. punctata is very likely as Colletes is known as a host from punctata. But for a positive identification I need to see the specimen itself (in case of the female).
