Hello!
I am courious to know what kind of grub or larva fed on rhubarb in my garden. It has a trunk-like appendage at the upper(?) end of it and it is surrounded by some small cryptic creatures (aphid larvae?) and mysterious jellied bolbs. Few mm long.

Hello,
According to Rotheray, it could be
Epistrophe eligans. The upper brownish appendices are the posterior respiratory tubes, that is the tail. The head is at the other end.
