I caught this small fly a couple of days ago, trying to enter my house in the south east of England, via a small hole in the brickwork.

Any suggestions ?

Thankyou
Gordon

If you have the solitary bee Osmia rufa breeding near your house, I suspect it is Cacoxenus indagator, the drosophilid prasitoid in Osmia nests.
