Dear forum,
I took this picture today in my glasshouse. Is Anthomyiidae correct and can it be further identified from this picture?
Best regards, Niek

From this angle it is difficult to say. It could be an Anthomyiid, Fanniid or Muscid. I think the first one is the most unlikely.

No anthomyiid has a lower calypter of that shape, or indeed a head

If you,ve got Photoshop you should be able to get back the details currently in shadow by going to.IMAGE>ADJUSTMENT>SHADOW/HIGHLIGHT and use the sliders.

Dear Roger,
Thank you, I am impressed. I do not have photoshop but having seen what you did with my picture I certainly consider buying it.
