Hi guys.
This is my first post in this excellent forum. Unfortunately it is for an ID request. :)
This is a very tiny fly. about 2mm long. It was very busy scurring about on a leaf in #1. Image #2 is I believe the same spieces. Maybe 2.5-3mm long. Same behavour as the first, but this time on a wall. Both images were taken this summer at end of June beginning of July in Dublin, Ireland.
Any help appricated.

Hi Dave,
Of course welcome to the forum!
I don't think the two specimens belong to the same species. However they both do belong to the same family, i.e. Phoridae. Unfortunately I can't help you any further.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Guys. I think #2 is Phoridae - Megaselia sp. as seen in the gallery on this site. I'll keep digging for the other one.
Again, Thanks :)

hmm, it doesn't seem a Megaselia. But... there are many, and many species of genus Megaselia. The genus is really a total mess. :D
