Hallo,
this my first contribution in this forum. I hope, that I will make not to much mistakes.

This fly I saw at 25. July 2008 in a former quarry, with much new soil, nearby Leutenbach-Weiler zum Stein, Baden-W?rttember, Germany. I think it resembles Cylindromyia bicolor.

Best regards
Horst Schlueter

It most definitely is C. bicolor.
Northern population known (see Tschorsnig & Herting, 1985).

Hallo Theo,
thank you very much.
But I have a question, because my english is not the best.
Your answer (because your writing most) will mean, that there is a little doubt?

With best regards
Horst

Horst - Theo is saying there is no doubt at all. You can label this nice fly Cylindromyia bicolor.

Welcome to the forum :)
