Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Pherbellia cinerella

Location: SE Sweden (?land)
Date: 2008-AUG-23
Size: ~4,5 mm

I only got a couple of shots of this rather small fly that came to an outdoor lamp at night. I first thought of Sciomyzidae, but looking at it closer I'm wondering about Opomyzidae or Heleomyzidae ...

Sciomyzidae. I think it's Pherbellia cinerella.

Thank you Stephane! I understand it can't be easy when checking the Pherbellia genus in Artportalen and I'm finding 22 species ...

Is it safe to report this as Pherbellia cinerella or should I keep the question mark?

As Stephane, I also think it is Ph.cinerella.
Still there are some doubts - forelegs too glossy black (have to be brown-blackish). I suspect that it is due to overcontrasting image - the result of white wall as background.
