Dear forum,

I took these pictures today in my glasshouse. Is it possible to identify this small (~ 5 mm) fly from these pictures?

Best regards, Niek

Dear Jorge,

Concerning your questionmark: It looks indeed very much like the Palloptera ustulata in the gallery and other pictures I found on the internet. How should I record it: uncertain Palloptera ustulata or Palloptera cf ustulata? Thank you for your advice.

Best regards, Niek

Hi Niek,

There are some problems concerning the identification of Palloptera ustulata (see http://www.dipter...ad_id=3930).
