I found this Neriidae fly in the Arnhem Zoo in the Netherlands. This zoo has a very big, real rainforest indoors. The plants in this forest, called the Bush, come from around the world. No insects were intentionally released in there, but these flies are doing very well. I'm guessing these flies are origionally from South-America. Can anyone iD it for me?

Can you collect some, please, and put them in some alcohol?

Sure. I have time to go back to Arnhem in the end of next week. How many would be wise to collect?

I'm going back next tuesday. Should I send the specimens to you via mail, or is it better to just drop them off (if it's not too far away)?

I work in Amsterdam and live in Hoorn. I guess you'd better send them. ;)

No problem. I'll let you know when I get them! Is about 3 of them enough?
