Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tephritidae, Myopites tenellus from Romania

hi,

found this tephritid two days ago (8.august.2008) when sweeping through Pulicaria plants. very small (4mm), male & female photographed.
checking forum i have reached to Myopites, something more can be added? several specimens where collected.

Hi Valery,

just checking. my mistake, was Inula britannica not Pulicaria.
thanks for identification.
i think i will add this to the gallery even if not good quality (there is none from Myopites).

Their quality is good enough to ID specimens! Luckily, the discrepance with the host-plant identity is solved. I was thinking maybe my knowledge on this group is not good enough... :O
