Is someone able to tell me with this picture if it is either Gymnosoma nudifrons or Gymnosoma rotundatum ?

Why those ? There are many more.
This looks like the female G. clavatum.

I expect in the south of France clavatum to be (at least) as common as the species you mentioned. Don't follow our Central European bias !
