Hasliberg, Switzerland; 4 july, sun just peeking over mountains after rainy night. Trees along brook.

I thought it might be crassicornis, in view of black antennae; but I could be totally wrong as well, never having attempted to ID Tabanids...

Is ID possible?

a male. Difficult.
If the antennae were totally black, it would have been crassicornis, but they are not. Moreover, the shape and dusting on first antennal segment don't match.
First impression is male H. subcylindrica, but could be pluvialis or italica as well.
