I found a beautiful fly in the forest (Bexbach/Germany). Which species is that?

Very nice photo - very vibrant colours :)

Definitely a Phasia hemiptera (male) from the very characteristic shape and colours - particularly the orange hair on the sides of the thorax :) The species is highly sexually dimorphic and females are less dramatic.
