Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Which fly?

Hello,

this fly is from western germany one month ago. I don't have an an idea where to put it (family? genus? etc.) Can anything be determined from this photo? (length about 5mm)

Criorhina (Syrphidae)? It's a guess ... anybody?

Not Criorhina (too small). Those longish antenna and the small size remind me of Pipizella, so it's possibly part of the Pipizinae (Syrphidae).

I agree, it is Pipizella female.
