Hello!

This one was about 10 mm long. July-03, at light in garden, northwest Germany.

Looks like an Estheria spp. but do you have any more angles? :)

Thanks - and no :(, this is the only photo I have. Then the fly was gone...

OK, I am fairly sure it is an Estheria - I just wouldn't put my money on it ;) The key features as I see them are: petiole on vein-m, the deep gena, antenna shape (possible hairy arista), dexiine body shape etc etc :)
