Location: Midwest Sweden (Dalsland)
Date: 2008-JUN-17
Size: 4-5 mm

I'm not even sure this is a fly. The antenna looks kind of weird. I don't remember when I took these photos. It is sitting on a grass straw and the wind was probably swaying it back and forth ... I blame that for the poor photo quality :D

Stratiomyidae. Typical discal cell with pentagonal form, and unusually placed far from the center of the wing.

hairy eyes so Beris, and a female.
This belongs to the vallata group.
