Hello to all,
does anybody know this male Tabanid? It looks like being Hybomitra or Philipomyia. The size is about what I painfully know from female Hybomitrae.

Date: June29 2008
Location: Germany, Bavaria south-east, on a mountain called Gurnwandkopf, south-west from the village of Ruhpolding, altitude about 1650m

Thanks in advance and greetings
Rupert

@ crex: Thanx for this information, I already thought I had to fall into a state of heavy despair ;)

@ Amalia: I think you are right. There is no picture of a male in the gallery but looking for it by google brings one which exactly looks like mine. Thanks a lot!

Best greetings
Rupert
