Hello!

Unfortunately I only have this single picture. This not very big (8-9 mm) fly looked and behaved (not hovering at the blossoms, but running around between them) exactly like a small Bombus pascuorum worker. Found on May-09 at forest, northwest Germany. Can it be a Criorhina?

Yep, Criorhina berberina female, the typical form.
There is also a color form which is totally yellow.
They can be quite small!
greetings

Many thanks! I had the form 'oxyacanthe' before, but it was considerably bigger.

P.S.: The genus name Brachymyia is not valid any more?
