Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Sarcophagidae ?

Dear forum,

I took a picture of this couple today in my garden.
Is Sarcophagidae correct and can they be further identified?

Yes, Niek, it are Sarcophaga (Sarcophaga). On the first photo you find 4 postsutural DC-setae (dorso-central), on the second I belief to see vaguely a marginal bristle on T3 (tergite 3, looks like being the second). Absolutely impossible to relate this picture to one of the 4 species that occur in The Netherlands. Jan H.C.Velterop.
