16.08.2026 I saw this Syrphida on Solidago, I think more then 1 cm.
Germany, Frankfurt am Main

Hello Chris,
fore and mid tarsi seem to be yellow =>
Eristalis pertinax (female).
P.S.: Should have been posted in the Syrphidae subforum.
P.P.S.: I'm waiting since Friday for an answer from the support of my web hoster. I hope the forum will be up again in the next days...
