Found near Salakos, Rhodes, on 25_05_2026
Is it possible to say something about its ID? A species group, maybe?

Hi,
I am not sure as Merodon are often difficult but have a look at Merodon pruni, which I believe is a species group aswell.

I think you are right again, this must be Merodon pruni, even though the spur on metatrochanter is not quite visible (wrong angle of view, I think).
