Help please - I would say "yes" from its appearance, but I cannot find a similar picture in the Diptera Gallery. No shot from above possible, the fly was hiding from storm and drizzle within a thistle. Seen in a cemetery in Berlin 8. July 2026, about 12mm. Thereva nobilitate (14mm; as I believe it to be) was sitting at another plant close by. Thank you for your help, Jörg
