Hi everyone!

Palp long and slender and pale brown, hind edges of tergites pale, lateral orange spot cut off at the end of 3rd tergite: Is it Hybomitra arpadi?

16 mm long

28. June 2026, Austria, State of Salzburg, St. Johann im Pongau district, parking area at the road to Obertauern, about 1520 m a.s.l., came into my car. Coordinates 47.25210, 13.51240

Looks like it. Antenna is unusually dark, though.
Could you make a dorsal view of the fly ?

Here it is.

I noticed the dark antennae, too, but with the other properties I couldn't find a fitting alternative to arpadi.

Thanks! Also the two species that I found listed for Austria, but not mentioned in the book (borealis, nigricornis) don't seem to be very similar to this one.
