Thread subject: Diptera.info :: female Hybomitra micans without triangles on back? -> confirmed

Hi everyone!

Lacking the triangles on the abdomen, I hoped for Hybomitra aterrima, but with glossy subcallus it should be H. micans, right? (Which are rather common at that place, but not today.)

14 mm long.

4. June 2026, Germany, Upper Bavaria, northern bottom of Mt. Hochfelln, about 760 m a.s.l., coordinates 47.77612, 12.55440

A rather special individual: Smaller than the others, without triangles and fighting so hard, that the wings break.
