Could the following specimen be of the species Suillia affinis? Found west of Vienna one week ago.

Most probably Suillia umbratica (Meigen, 1835) :)

First flagellomere robust and dark brown on the edge, dark brown or brownish-black occipital setulae, the scutellum isn't totally haired (sparsely hairy than on S. affinis), the fore femur is distinctly darkened, the apical parts of the tibiae are dark brown (forming a wide ring). These are the key features that distinguish this species from S. affinis
