Dear colleagues,

This specimen was photographed here: 44.39343, 75.52463, Kazakhstan, Almaty Region, Zhambyl District. The photograph was taken by Elena Kirichok, a naturalist.

I suspect that this may be Nemestrinus laetus. I am a botanist, and I am interested in this group of flies from the perspective of pollination of the relict endemic plant Incarvillea semiretschenskia.

I would be very grateful for your help with the identification. :)
