Hi
I caught this Conopid a few days ago in an urban park. It's a
Myopa and I think it should be
Myopa hirsuta because there are rows of black bristles under tibiae and hairs on tergite 5 are long and not perpendicular to tergite. But I have a doubt because the scutum does not seem to be clearly orange brown just before the scutellum (it reminds more species like
Myopa testacea which have less long hairs on abdomen). I used this key for identiication : https://home.hccnet.nl/mp.van.veen/conopidae/myopa.html
What's your opinion ? I'm under the impression that the bristles under tibiae is the key criterion to ID
M. hirsuta. Am I wrong ?
