Have a nice Day. One Question please. I need to ask if this Diptera species could be a Pegomya species. It was quite broad, measuring 5-6 mm. I would be very grateful for an answer.
Discovery data: Austria, Lower Austria, Tattendorf, 220m, garden, 6.5.2025, size 8-10mm
Kind regards Karl

My best idea - male Phaonia pallida
with some deformity of the head structure

A good Day. Thank you John for the Answer of Muscidae sp.
Nikita thank you for identifying it as probably male Phaonia pallida. I think that could be correct.
Kind regards Karl.
