Hello,
This fly was photographed in the Roussillon plain (Pyrénées-Orientales, France).
I think it belongs to the genus Hydrotaea, but I haven't been able to determine the species. Can you please help me?

1. Yes, it is Hydrotaea.
2. It is not Hydrotaea subgenus Ophyra: O. capensis has emarginated eyes; O. ignava has dark calyptrae; O. aenescens has yellowish base of antenna and several other characters.
3. Thus, it is female of Hydrotaea s. str., looks similar to nidicola or pilipes, but reliable identification of females is difficult, by photo impossible.
