Hello,

While hiking, I photographed the insect below :

www.galerie-insecte.org/galerie/image/dos361/big/web.jpg
williams : France : Bourg-d'Oueil : 31110 : 08/07/2025
Altitude : 2101 m - Taille : environ 10 mm
Réf. : 361633

Is this a male Eupeodes luniger, as the yellow spots don't reach the lateral margin of the tergites ??

At the same location that day, and a few minutes before this one, I also saw what appears to be the female of this insect, as here too, the yellow spots don't reach the lateral margin of the tergites, but also has an inverted Y-shaped spot on the forehead.

Thank you

Williams
