Could this be a dark version of H. montana?

No, it is one of those brown-palped species, I need to check the literature.

Or it might be nigricornis, which can have non-black antenna....

Isn't the third antennal segment too wide to be nigricornis?

I am confused by the colour of the palpus, one pic shows yellow, one seems to show brown ?
The costal cell is clearly yellow, which excludes polaris. So it is nigricornis (palpus yellow) or borealis (palpus brown). Otherwise, these two are very similar.

Thanks! To me it looks more brown than yellow. But it depends on how yellow or brown it should be.

OK so it is yellow with very black hairs, hence nigricornis.
This species is much more variable than the books suggest, in my experience
