Hello,

using Reemer, M. (2014): Veldtabel wapen- en bastvliegen van Nederland (Diptera: Stratiomyidae & Xylomyidae): https://kenniscentruminsecten.nl/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Veldtabel_wapenvliegen.pdf I got to Microchrysa flavicornis:
- eyes bare
- antennae orange at base
- fore femora largely yellow
- measured body size: 4 mm

can someone confirm this or point out any mistakes? I found it sitting on a bush next to a meadow.

Northern Germany, Hildesheim, bushes next to meadow, 08.VI.2025, 150m, 4 mm (measured)

Male Microchrysa flavicornis is correct.
Additional hint from Zeegers, Schulten (2022): Families of Flies with Three Pulvilli:
"In photographs, the best characteristic is the whitish yellow trim which widens slightly towards wing base."
