Hello,

This small black fly with a glossy body, large head, and yellowish wings was tentatively identified as Dasiops on the French forum Le Monde des Insectes.

Given the general appearance and the tarsal coloration, I was wondering whether Dasiops ensifer could be a candidate. This older post on Le Monde des Insectes shows a very similar specimen, identified by Iain MacGowan as Dasiops ensifer.

Do you think it's possible to go further, at least to species level, based on these photos?
