Hello,

I am not sure, into which genus I should place this small (5-7 mm) Syrphid from a hedge near a small brook (northwest Germany). Unfortunately I could only take some shots from a distance.

Because of the constrictions in its abdomen I first thought of some Paragus, but antenna form and wing venation did not match. It also does not seem to be a Eumerus. So, what remains as a possibility? Pipizella?
