Hi all,
I found this female recently in northern California. The wing veins and other characters seem to place it near
Limnophila but I am not sure how to rule out other genera like Pseudolimnophila or Austrolimnophila. The wing length was 11 mm. Can anyone provide ID help with this one?
Thanks!
Ken

In Alexander's guide to the crane flies of California it goes to
Austrolimnophila badia.

Thanks John! I got stuck at the couplet that asks about the arculus, a character I hadn't heard of before. It sounds like you believe it is absent and certainly the wing venation and geographic location fit well with A. badia. Appreciate your help!
