Juslibol, Saragossa, NE Spain.200 meters over sea
Dry gypsy steppes. Hovering over dusty hot trail. Windy day.
Big sized, as major or cruciatus

B. cruciatus is the common one in the area

It never landed, so I was unable to took a sharp photo

Any possibility of specific ID, even a guess?

Here in northwest Germany it would be without doubt. But it's the only Bombylius species I've found here... ;)
