Hello !

Through an online image search, I found a look similar to the species in the title, particularly on iNaturalist. Particularly the reddish pattern on the thorax and the black ones on the wings.

The observations of the genus on iNaturalist are still heavily concentrated in the Americas.

And among the photos on this same site, Thienemannimyia norena (often recorded in Canada) has wing patterns very similar to my specimen.

This belongs to tribe Pentaneurini or Macropelopiini. I am away from my books and can't say more.
