could this be Eristalis nemorum, as someone suggested?
Location: Germany, Rhineland-Palatinum, 53572 Unkel, river Rhine valley, Stux hill, dry and warm habitat (grapeyards), nearby deciduous forest (oak, beech ...), August 18th 2024.
