Hello,

I photographed several of these flies in Balaclava, Mauritius, on April 19th 2024. I think they are Dolichopodidae, but is it possible to identify their genus or species from these photos?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Here's also a picture of another individual found in the same spot, that I believe to be a female of the same species.

I have separated C. snelli Curran, 1927 from C. leucopogon (Wiedemann, 1824). C. snelli is distributed from coasts of Tanzania and Kenya across Madagascar, Reunion, Mauritius, Aldabra, Rodriguez and Seychelles to western Indian coast (Goa), Chagos Archipelago and Maldives. C. leucopogon is spread in eastern Indian Ocean and western Pacific.
