Hello

I found this hoverfly on ivy in my garden yesterday. Is it Callicera aurata?
Germany, Saarland, Bexbach, Garden on ivy, Absolute Altitude 250 m, 09.10.2023

Hello Volker, I think it's a female Callicera aurata:
- Length antennal segment 2≈1, 3≈1+2
- Female femora extensively black
- Tarsal segments 3-5 black (all legs)
- Hairs on posterior margin of scutellum distinctly shorter than scutellum

Thank you for the determination. I photographed this species again on the ivy today. It is a regular visitor.
