Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Rhinophoridae from Belgium 2023-09-12 for ID

Hi Everyone !!!

I pictured this Diptera in my garden on 2023-09-12. I could measure the specimen on picture : 9,4mm
With such nervation I could key it to the Phyto genus.
As I already pictured one Phyto melanocephala in my garden on 2021-08-03 (a female) I think it could be the same species ... Could it be another Phyto species ?

Could anyone help me ID this specimen ???

Hello Didier, I'm pretty sure you are right with female Phyto melanocephala.
