Image taken last week in the Manteling van Walcheren, Zeeland, Netherlands. The habitat consists mainly of sand dunes near the sea. Thanks in advance for any help with the identification. Regards, Pit

Hello, a lateral-view would help, but I would say Philonicus albiceps male.

It started off before I could get down on my knees for another angle. Thanks anyway! Pit

Hi,

This is for sure Philonicus albiceps. A very common species in sand dunes of the Netherlands.

Best, Jonne
