Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Larvae under the loose bark of a dead aspen

Hi,
unfortunately there are only bad pictures. The larvae are about 5 mm long and live under the loose bark of an uprooted aspen. Are they determinable? Maybe Stratiomyidae?

Yes, certainly Stratiomyidae. But I can't remember which genus. Have to look it up when I'm back in the lab later this week.
