Hi,

This little fly was sitting in a bell flower. It was about the size of a mosquito. Which species is it?

Greetings, Volker

Hi eric,

thanks for the determination. This woolly hawk moth seems to be not so common or it is overlooked

Greetings, Volker

That's true, Volker, and I had a hard time to identify my first one in 2019. But since than I find it every year and they love pink blossoms :)

Hi eric,

good to know, thanks for the info. I'll keep my eyes open, maybe I'll find another male?
