Hi Jessica, I've checked it with The Sepsidae (Diptera) of Europe (Pont, Meier) and it looks good! I think you are right with S. thoracica.

Finally, what makes it possible to confirm the species? The bristles of the tibia 1? Maybe also the general color?

Hi Jessica, it's one of the species with meron glossy in posterior half and pruinose in anterior half, and katepisternum also partly shining and without pruinosity. Adult thoracica differs by having a dark spot at the tip of vein R2+3 and lacking a milky-white patch beyond this.

Okay thank you so much.
I had seen this document, but I could not see the meron. On the other hand, the katepisternum seems pruinose only on its upper part. So I suppose that seeing this pruinosity is enough even if you don't see the meron ? (coupled with the wing spot)

What made me think you are right with male thoracica is the complete description in the doc and especially the figure 471 (fore femur).
