Hello,
this appr. 4 mm fly was found on flowering Borago officinalis June 11th in our garden in Hannover, Germany.
Is an ID possible?

Thank you for an answer!
Hans

Hello,
now I presume it could be Palpomyia rufa.
There are very similar photos here: https://pbase.com/tmurray74/image/144125480 and also here: https://bugguide.net/node/view/1508352/bgimage

Thanks a lot for an answer!
