Hello!
Is it possible to identify this fly from May 18, 2021 (from Leipzig, Saxony, Germany)?
Thanks for your help,

Hi Maik, it's a Rhinophoridae - I think a Rhinophora lepida.

The petiole in the wing is a bit short. The abdominal pattern fits male Rhinophora lepida, but it is a female. Also, it is too early in the year for Rhinophora.
Head profile and hairs on parafacial suggests female Phyto, in which case it should be melanocephala.
