Ole A. Sæther (9 December 1936 - 8 January 2013)
Today I learened that the eminent chironomid specialist Ole A. Sæther passed away last week. If I receive more information telling you about the life and works of this excellent researcher, I will post it here. Another icon gone: Dick Vockeroth passed away (2 May 1928 - 16 November 2012)
News that was posted on Facebook by Norm Woodley today:
Jim O'Hara in Ottawa told me the sad news this afternoon that Dick Vockeroth passed away in Ottawa this morning. Dick was a remarkable Dipterist with a very wide knowledge of flies and their habits, and full of great enthusiasm. He will be missed by the Diptera community.
